Terms of Service - After Hours Car Detailing

1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service with After Hours Car Detailing ("we," "us," "our," or "the Company"), you ("the Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. These Terms apply to all services performed by After Hours Car Detailing.

2. Services and Booking

  • Service Description: We provide professional mobile automotive detailing services at a location of your choice (e.g., home, office).

  • Booking: Services are booked via our website, phone, text message, or third-party booking platforms. A booking is considered confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us.

  • Service Availability: We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion, particularly if a vehicle's condition poses a safety risk, requires extensive decontamination beyond standard detailing, or is located in an unsafe environment.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Quotes: All quotes are estimates based on the vehicle's standard condition and size. The final price may change if the actual condition requires more time, labor, or products than initially estimated (e.g., excessive pet hair, heavy staining, mold, etc.). We will communicate any price change beforebeginning the additional work.

  • Payment: Payment is due in full upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Accepted Methods: We accept Cash, Credit/Debit Cards, and checks).

  • Cancellation Fee: Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted service price.

4. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure we can perform our services effectively and safely, you agree to:

  • Vehicle Access: Provide a safe and legal parking space.

  • Vehicle Condition: Disclose any known issues with the vehicle, including but not limited to: mechanical problems, electrical faults, body damage (cracks, chips, deep scratches), pre-existing interior damage, or biohazards.

  • Personal Belongings: Remove all valuable and personal items from your vehicle prior to our arrival. After Hours Car Detailing is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle.

  • Vehicle Security: Provide a means for us to access the vehicle (e.g., key, fob, code) and ensure the vehicle is unlocked for the duration of the service.

5. Limitations of Liability

  • Pre-existing Damage: While we exercise the utmost care, After Hours Car Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing damages to your vehicle, including but not limited to: clear coat failure, faded paint, cracked glass, brittle plastic trim, or pre-existing interior stains and tears.

  • Scope of Service: Our services are aesthetic and do not cover mechanical or structural repairs. We are not liable for any mechanical or electrical failures that coincide with our detailing service.

  • Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claims of damage, whether based on contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the service in question.

6. Warranty and Guarantee

  • Satisfaction Guarantee: We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with your service, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion. We will, at our discretion, either re-perform the unsatisfactory service or provide a refund.

  • "As Is" Basis: Except as stated in this guarantee, services are provided on an "as is" basis without any further warranties, express or implied.

7. SMS/Text Messaging (A2P Compliance)

  • Consent: By providing your mobile number, you expressly consent to receive automated and non-automated SMS/text messages from After Hours Car Detailing related to your booking, service reminders, confirmations, status updates, and follow-up inquiries.

  • Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us (e.g., confirmation, day-of-service updates, post-service follow-up).

  • Opt-Out: You can opt-out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any of our messages. For assistance, reply "HELP." Message and data rates may apply.

  • Carrier Compliance: We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Intellectual Property
All logos, branding, marketing materials, and service techniques are the sole property of After Hours Car Detailing and may not be used without our express written permission.
9. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service to anyone for any reason, including but not limited to: disrespectful or abusive behavior, unsafe working conditions, or the presence of illegal substances or items in the vehicle.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.
